Rotary Drum Egg Tray Molding Machine Introduction
A rotary drum egg tray machine is a continuous (drum) paper pulp moulding equipment, also known as a rotary polygon moulding machine. The ordinary rotary drum molding machine is composed of a transmission speed control device, a drum, a stripper, a cleaner and a controller.
How does Rotary Drum Molding Machine Work?
The drum of the rotary drum molding machine is a cavity seat where a metal mesh is installed to form a sealed cavity. Generally six-sided or eight-sided, each side is equipped with 1-8 sets of forming molds, and the whole equipment can be installed with 18-48 molds. The transfer die is assembled on a pair of four-bar linkages, and the roller is driven by a motor to drive the pulley mechanism to rotate to realize intermittent rotation, so as to ensure that the wet paper die blank has enough time to be smoothly transferred to the drying chain when it is clamped with the transfer die. During molding, the 1-position mold is immersed in the pulp, and the inner cavity of the drum is successively connected to the vacuum suction system through the distribution device distributed on the end face of the drum, and the molding mold is sucked to produce a wet paper mold blank. When the forming mold is transferred from the I station to the II and III stations, the vacuum suction state is still maintained, and the formed wet paper mold blank is largely dehydrated. When transferred to the IV, V, VI stations, the wet paper mold blank enters the heat shield with the mold temperature of 240~260 °C, and continues to be dehydrated and dried. When transferring to the seventh station, the forming mold and the transfer mold are closed and released, and the wet paper mold is rotated 90° by the transfer mold and released to the drying conveyor. At the same time, the demolded forming mold rotates with the drum. In the VII station, the water purifying nozzle sprays water to clean the forming mold, and finally the cleaned forming mold is transferred to the I station to start a new working cycle.
The drum type molding machine has a high degree of automation, high production efficiency, and a production capacity of 5 to 6 times per minute. Because its forming die is arranged on a rotatable drum, the pressure it bears is low, and its wet paper die blank is less dense. What’s more, because it adopts the form of demoulding heating and drying, the secondary shaping accuracy is low, and it is difficult to ensure the smoothness of the surface, so it is not suitable for the production of Chinese tableware, but more suitable for large-scale continuous automatic production of shallow plates with small wall thickness and depth. At present, this kind of drum molding equipment is widely used in the production of non-soup products such as trays, egg trays, bottle rack trays, fruit boxes, and electrical lining packaging.
